Leny Jacobson

Leny has happily spent the past 15 years raising her two boys, Andrew and Alex, and serving as a “professional volunteer” in her home town of Wilton, CT. Leny has served on the Wilton Little League, Wilton Baseball and Softball Association, Driscoll PTA, and Project 2012 boards of directors. She has received “Volunteer of the Year” recognition in three different years for her work on behalf of regional youth baseball and has also served as president of the elementary school PTA. Leny has generously volunteered her time and her extraordinarily diverse talents to St. Matthew’s Church (Wilton), co-chairing events and serving on the Vestry as the youth liaison. Leny has also volunteered at the local middle and high schools, co-chairing a number of educational and social events…so much so that her boys heartily supported Mom’s return to the work force work, so as not to be in the school halls so often!

Previously Leny worked for 15 years in the advertising industry, rising from account coordinator at BBDO to Senior Vice President, Account Services at Jerry & Ketchum/New York. Her primary focus was in the beauty and fashion industry, managing the Victoria’s Secret, Revlon Cosmetics, Almay Cosmetics, Coty Fragrances and Cosmetics, Henri Bendel and Express accounts. Leny contributed invaluable strategic counsel in new product development, particularly in the fragrance category, helping to launch brands such as !exclamation, ici, Unforgettable, and Davidoff Cool Water. Leny also worked on premium/luxury brands, including Gorham (china, crystal and silver), Alexandra DeMarkoff and Princess Marcella Borghese, during which time she partnered with many high fashion photographers, models and actors.

Like every sound strategic thinker, Leny’s foundation was in the CPG sector – with senior level responsibility on several Unilever and Playtex brands. This was complimented by work in both the durable goods and corporate image arenas – for GE and Black & Decker. A particularly gratifying moment was earning a star on the Times Square Ticker for her pro bono work with the Coalition on Donation for organ and tissue donors.
Leny graduated from Wichita State University in 1983, earning a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in marketing. She served as the Editor-in-Chief for the 12,000 circulation campus newspaper and provided side-line entertainment for the Wichita Shocker community as a member of the Shockette cheer squad.

Leny and her husband Paul reside in Wilton with their two sons and two Bouvier dogs. When not at RazorFocus Leny is most likely sewing, knitting, or watching her boys play ball, having seemingly visited every baseball diamond in Fairfield County…and many more in New England and Mid-Atlantic states!
